Summary
She is the daughter who was always invisible next to her good, blonde sisters. She is the single mother who always longed for more freedom and support. She is the oversensitive one who always felt more than others. She is someone who hates change, but something has to happen because her children are about to move out and she has to downsize, clean out her old life, figure out what of it she wants to keep and who she wants to be in the future. What does it feel like when life starts over again? Doris Knecht's new novel is the deeply human and intimate self-questioning of a woman who is at a turning point. She is trying to find out the truth about herself. And at the same time she knows that she will never succeed.
