Contains a few documents relating to Cornelia Cannon's views on and experiences of Russia. Two documents contain details of her arrest by the G.P.U., the secret police, when she was found illegally taking photographs, without identification papers, in a former tsars' house (Ipatieu) that had been turned into a museum. The 'Open Letter to Stalin' comments on the Soviet Union, and the future development of the Communist party and Russia as a country. Often comments are quite critical. Topics that are discussed in the 'Russian Experience' notes include: Marxism, capitalism, the organization of society, dress, propaganda, women, Parks of Culture and Rest, the preservation of art treasures, education, factory construction and medicine, among others.
