Ownership inscription on front pastedown of Meḥmed Ṣādıḳ el-Mevlevī (محمد صادق المولوى) in Erzincān dated 1200 (that is, 1785-1786). Four unidentified bookstamps (recto front flyleaf). Previously owned by Beşiklitaş Mevlevihanesi Ḳutbü'l-'arīfīni Şeyḫ Aḥmed Efendi (بشكلتاش مولوخانسنده قتب العرفين شيخ احمد افند). Presentation inscription of Meḥmed Yūsuf Ḥażretleri (محمد يوسف حظرتلرى) on recto front flyleaf. Purchased on the Edwin J. Beinecke, '07, Frederick W. Beinecke, '09S, Walter Beinecke, '10, Fund, in May 1966.

Summary
Manuscript, on paper, of Ferişteoğlu Abdülmecid's Luġat-i Ḳānūn-ı İlāhī Ellefehū 'Abdülmecīd bin Ferişte 'Izzeddīn, a Qur'anic dictionary listing 2,300 Arabic words, in alphabetical order, along with their corresponding Turkish translations, each accompanied by Qur'anic verses as examples of use. Sparse marginal corrections by the scribe throughout. Ends with a short treatise on Persian grammar titled 'Avāmilü'l-Fars (عوامل الفرس) (ff. 161a-163a), as well as some short poetry excerpts and notes on Persian grammar titled Ḳāide-i ism-i fāil (قائدة اسم فائل) (f. 162a). Opens with a table of contents (ff. 1b-2a).
