In the celebrations of the Ignatian Year (2021-2022), which commemorates the 500th anniversary of the beginning of the conversion of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, Edições Loyola is honored to bring to the Brazilian public the work Art of the Jesuits in Ibero-America Architecture, Sculpture, Paintingʺ, authored by renowned Brazilian researcher Percival Tirapeli. In addition to the famous Paraguayan Jesuit Reductions, in this work the reader will be able to have contact with a much broader and more varied universe represented by the innumerable missions and establishments of the priests who, in the most different environments of the American continent, dedicated themselves to the desire to seek the salus animarum , the salvation of souls, not sparing efforts also in the use of artistic and architectural resources to achieve this end, thus achieving the motto so characteristic of the Company: Ad Maiorem Dei Gloriam.
