Summary
From a small fishing village to a metropolis, Hong Kong's real estate industry has become an important pillar of the Hong Kong economy. The century-long ebb and flow of the real estate market has created great wealth for the city, but it has also become a heavy burden for many people. From the very early land system of "rent only", the public housing policy ignited by several fires in the 1950s, the rise of Chinese property developers after the 1967 riots, to the land and housing plans formulated by several leaders after the handover, Hong Kong's property market has had its ups and downs, but it has always been moving in the direction of people living in peace and contentment. This documentary will tell the history of Hong Kong's real estate industry from the early days, and explore how Hong Kong has created a "real estate legend" step by step.
