Summary
Discusses financial situation in regards to taxes and the Waldo patent, a tract of land Knox inherited by marriage in present-day Maine. Mentions possibly making a trip out to the patent, but is uncertain whether or not he will be able to go and that he would greatly prefer the addition to Voses house but ... know[s] not whether he can get another, neither [does he] know whether it would be agreable [sic] to him.
