Summary
The film compares modern life in Minsk, a modern university town with a large population of students and scientists, with life in Belarus before the revolution and during the Second World War, when life was a constant struggle. Footage includes images of partisan activity in Nazi-occupied Belorussia, undercover work, the blowing up a bridge, the destruction of Minsk and postwar rebuilding.
