Footage includes: Paotow's No. 1 Blast Furnace officially opened by Premier Zhou Enlai; the production of the new "Red Flag" sedan at an automobile plant; cross-breeding experiments with rice plants; the opening of the new Cultural Palace of Nationalities and footage of some of its exhibitions; an art exhibition in memory of the painter Hsu Pei-Hung.
