Summary
Chinese film about Tibet made one year after the Dalai Lama fled to India in 1959. Following China's attempts to introduce change, the footage attempts to highlight the happiness of the Tibetan people in their day-to-day lives. In one key scene, former serfs burn their indenture papers before receiving livestock and clothing.
