Bound in publisher's original gilt- and blind-tooled green morocco. Gilt edges. Bookplate: Sir Harry Niven Lumsden. Inscription: Rachel Niven from her affectionate brother Harry Niven Lumsden.
BAC: Copy 2 is another issue.. Contains the introduction on 12 p. in English and French. Title page dated 1804 [i.e. not before 1824]. Plates watermarked 1823 or 1824. Text printed from a different setting of type than either of the 2 preceding issues. With leaf at end bearing announcement dated London, 1822: T. M'Lean ... begs leave to inform the public, that the Costumes of the various countries, published by Mr. Miller ... are become his property .....Bound in publisher's original gilt-tooled maroon morocco. Gilt edges.
