Mr. Farr bought this collection, 1950, from the Gulliver family of West Haven, as they were about to move elsewhere; the first picture in the volume is that of the store front of C. A. Gulliver jr., College book store, 452-454 Chapel [St.] with Mr. Gulliver(?) at the door. N. H. directory, 1876, for name of collector.
