1859-62 no report issued; results of work for that period were incorporated in a general report entitled: Report of progress from its commencement to 1863 ... Montreal, 1863.

1869/70 no Report of progress was published.

Report 1843-1853 is bound with the monograph Remarks on the Mining Region of Lake Superior; Addressed to the Committee of the Honorable the Executive Council, and Report on the Mining Locations Claimed on the Canadian Shores of the Lake, Addressed to the Commissioner of Crown Lands.

Report 1880-1883 is bound with the monograph Reports... on the Geology of the Basin of Moose River and of the Lake of the Woods and Adjacent Country.

Place of publication varies: 1842-47/48, 1858, 1866-69, 1871/72-84 printed in Montreal; 1848/49-1849/50, 1853-56, 1857 printed in Toronto; 1850/51-1852/53 printed in Quebec; 1863-66, 1870/71 printed in Ottawa. Another edition of 1870/71 was pub. in Montreal, New York, etc., and printed in Ottawa.
