Summary
This item consists of copies of three documents by or to Juan Bautista de Anza and Fray Francisco Garcés. The first is Fray Garcés suggestion on the number and location of missions along the Colorado River, probably in Arizona. The second is Viceroy Buareli's decree ordering Anza to report on Garcés suggestion. The last is Anza's report, 5 p., supporting Garcés suggestion, commenting on future difficulties with the Apache Indians, suggesting removal of the Apache, and civilizing other Indian groups.
