Notes
Case covered in linen (natural color) with gray-blue Ingres paper lining containing miniature replicas and col. or black and white reproductions of works by Duchamp. Printed labels give name of work, date and owner of the original. It was first issued in 1941 as Boîte en valise (The box in a valise). The 1958 ed. consisted of about 30 examples and was assembled by Iliazd. It was intended to contain 68 items. Duchamp intended that all eds. would total about 300 examples. Cf. Schwarz. Cf. Bonk.
