Manuscript notebook containing directions for dyeing fabrics in various colors and descriptions of woods, barks, and other agents used in dyes. Also contains a few kitchen recipes and brief entries on methods of removing stains from cloth, producing whitewash, remedies for poison, and extermination of caterpillars. Accompanied by a receipt for fabric and other items, dated at North Bridgwater?, 20 Jul 1839.
