Summary
Undated, five-page manuscript copy in an unidentified hand of a narrative description of Parry's first expedition to the Arctic in search of the Northwest Passage in 1819-1820. Following the title at the top of the first page is the note, "Copy of his Narrative & manuscript Chart." Accompanied by three ink and watercolor maps, one which individually, and two which together, show an area extending from Baffin Bay to Melville Island. The maps contain manuscript notes regarding geographic features and findings of the expedition, and indicate Parry's route. Each item has pencilled annotations of a former owner, and the pages contain watermarks dating from 1817 to 1820.
