Summary
Typescript, carbon, of a memoir by Isaac D. Worden, concerning his work with the Northern Pacific Railroad, mostly as a passenger train conductor, 1881-1923. The memoir consists of anecdotes of his experiences, describing work on passenger trains operating from Fargo, North Dakota, and incidents involving railroad employees, passengers, and tramps. Worden also briefly discusses his early life and family in Wisconsin; his family life in Fargo, North Dakota; railroad officials known to him; and his experiences in Oregon, where he worked as a prune farmer in Scotts Mills, ca. 1902-1910. Worden settled in Silverton, Oregon, after his retirement in 1923.
