Watermarks: leaves 1-47, white paper with marks "Ia M S Ia" and the crest of the city of Iaroslavlʹ (bear with axe, type 6), dated by Klepikov 1781-1786 (pp. 20-23); leaves 48-260, blue paper with marks "Ia M V S Ia" and the crest of the city of Iaroslavlʹ (bear with axe, type 8) dated by Klepikov 1791-1808 (p. 70).
Binding, 19th-century, boards stamped in leather, 2 brass clasps.
Illustrated title leaf identifies the writer as "pomorskaiadevitsa Fedosiia Vasilʹevna" ("Fedosiia Vasilʹevna from the White Sea Old Believer community"); same leaf indicates that there are 45 and a half "tetradi" (notebooks) in the manuscript. Verso of title leaf contains inscription stating that 77 rubles were paid for copying the book.

Summary
Anthology of polemical and homiletic writings. Includes petition letter to Tsar Aleksei from the Solovet︠s︡kiĭ Monastery; Epistle of Patriarch Adrian of Moscow to his flock; several treatises on eschatology, commemorating the dead, marriage to heretics, confession, raising children, monophonic singing, and shaving beards, including works by St. John Chrysostom, Theodore Balsamon, and Nikon Divnogoret︠s︡. Also includes polemical works on the "true" cross, on proclaiming the "Alleluia", and against the Lutherans.
