BEIN Lmd57 834 2: Issue without puns on names of Corpus Christi and Trinity colleges in translation of stanzas XXIII and XXX. This title is preceded by leaf of manuscript notes in ink of John Griffith signed "J.G." describing the issue which begins: "This ballad was a present to me from the Rev. Vaughan Thomas, the translator and editor." Beneath his notes is a manuscript note in pencil: "I possess Dr. Griffith's copy. F. Madan." No. 29 of 30 [i.e. 31] titles bound together in volume with manuscript table of contents signed "John Griffiths, Wadham College, 1839," stamp and manuscript notes of Falconer Madan, and binder's title: Pamphlets. Oxford. Admission of dissenters. 1834.

MUDD Lmd38 831: Oxford University pamphlets. 1831-1849. In this copy p. 35-36 are wanting, the cancelled leaf of the 7th ed. having been removed without being replaced by the cancel. Stanza XXIII is the corrected form, however, showing this to be the 8th ed.
