The astronomical portion is by John Ward. The calculations and astronomical notes on the calendar pages, as well as the preceding eclipse predictions, are identical throughout with those in the Pennsylvania almanac for 1825, also published by M'Carty & Davis and Mentz, which names Ward as its calculator. The La Fayette almanac includes additional calculations.
