Contains the theatrical diaries of Joseph Holloway. In the period 1895 to 1944, he attended almost every major performance at the Abbey Theatre, the Gate Theatre, the amateur theatres of Dublin, the commercial theatres, and plays performed by touring companies. His experiences were recorded in daily diary form. His own comments were supplemented with clippings from papers. In all there are 221 vols.
