The Development of Higher Education in Madagascar and in Rwanda: Report of a Study Mission (April 4-18, 1986). This study compares the structure, composition and administration of Rwanda's education system with that of Madagascar, focusing especially on higher education and the national universities. Rwandan officials initiated the study because they realized that Madagascar and Rwanda were in similar socio-economic situations and had adopted similar educational principles, but that Madagascar's national university was more advanced and successful than that of Rwanda.
