Notes
This collection of 394 plates of maps, city plans, chronological tables, genealogical tables, tables to explain martial and naval arts, plates illustrating J. Brucker's History of philosophy, and serveral curiousities, was issued by Seutter and bears his name. In some instances, Seutter credits authorship to others, or indicates the source of a map, but for the most part his maps are copied, in whole or in part, from others, mostly Dutch and French map makers, without reference to their origin.
Engraved t.p.
Scales vary.
Since all of Seutter's atlases have the same added engr. t.p., the present collection is probably better known under the printed title of "Grosser Atlas". Cf. Allgemeine Deutsche Biographie.
The date of Dec. 8, 1756 is the latest date in the atlas in the geneal. table of the House Lorraine.
Plates are hand colored, some are folded.
