Notes
Collection of approx. 20 rare and historic documents from Prague and its surrounding areas concerning the Jews and their relations with gentiles and the government. Includes a request to expand the homes of Jews and to purchase houses outside the ghetto, dating from 1770, a unique list of important Prague rabbis and their wives, petitions to prevent the confiscation of property of a Jew who was in debt from 1780, letters from the Jewish community of Prague to the government in 1868, and a permit to establish a printing press for Hebrew books from 1772.
