Summary
Manuscript on paper, in a single hand, of this collection of lives of saints, Biblical figures, and political persons in recent European history, as well as portraits of ideal figures such as "The Good Wife," "The Good Husband," and "The Handicrafts Man" and "General Rules" of behavior. Volume also contains a transcript, in the same hand, of John Phillips' poem "a Satyr against Hippocrites" (1631-1706), along with a fragment of musical notation.
