Summary
Manuscript of a farcical play in prose. Lord Belville is the governor of an island inhabited by fools exiled from the Republic of Utopia. A boastful ex-officer, a rich widow in love with a man half her age, a wealthy old man who has no heirs, and other fools each make their pleas to Lord Belville to return home, but are denied, until Belville falls in love with the beautiful Caelia and sets them all free.
