Summary
Manuscript, in a single hand, of a chronological journal of proceedings in the House of Commons, including bills, resolutions, committee appointments, and orders of the house. Many of the entries consist of petitions by various individuals claiming fradulent elections in their towns, citing practices such as bribery, corruption, and threats. Much of the remainder of the manuscript consists of numerous charts, lists, and financial accounts, including those listing Queen Anne's expenses and revenues; amounts of gold and silver made into coinage in the last two years; an estimate of King George I's guards, garrisons, and land forces in Great Britain, Minorca, Gibraltar, and Flanders; an account of the Navy's ships and finances; lists of pensioners; and payments to be made for civil affairs in Scotland.
