John Fisher, 1788-1832, was Archdeacon of Salisbury Cathedral. He was the nephew of Constable's early friend and mentor Bishop John Fisher, but was also himself a friend and frequent correspondent/confidant of the artist.

Three autograph letters, signed, from Archdeacon John Fisher to John Constable, Oct. 1 and 11, 1822, and Jan. 1, 1830. All are posted from Osmington, Weymouth.
