Ten numbered statements denouncing the war. "It is but fitting that I should explain why I have adopted this mode of addressing my countrymen: it is that the newspaper press is so crowded with laws, advertisements, details of battles, and editorials, that scarcely any one, now, hopes to get inserted any communication whatever. I have in this sheet uttered some harsh words--the times are harsh."
