Romare Bearden (1911-1988) was an African-American author and artist in several media, including cartoons, oils, and collage.
Summary
A lithographic reproduction printed by JK Fine Art Editions in 1984 of a collage depicting a piano teacher and student created by African-American artist Romare Bearden in 1983 as a homage to jazz pianist Mary Lou Williams. The sale of the limited edition of one hundred lithographic prints benefitted the Nanette Bearden Contemporary Dance Theatre.
