Summary
Documentary portrait of Telo Rinpoche, a.k.a. Eddie Ombadykow, a young Philadelphia native and son of Kalmykian emigrants. The young man has become a monk through study in India and finds his current position as co-chair of Kalmykia's religious affairs department a daunting assignment. He's shown working with government officials and visiting the Dalai Lama in India, his family in Philadelphia, and locations where he plans to build new Buddhist learning institutions in Kalmykia.
