Summary
Manuscript volume containing extensive notes in fair copy by Urquhart on the second of John Millar's two annual courses on the Institutes of Civil Law at the University of Glasgow. The course is a detailed presentation of a theory of natural jurisprudence modeled on that of Adam Smith and features a logical consideration of the historical varieties of marriage, including polygamy.
