The Blackfeet Indian Reservation is located east of Glacier National Park in Montana.
Summary
Bound volume of maps of the Blackfeet Indian Reservation, relating to oil prospecting, compiled by A. F. Dunnington "topographer in charge" (as identified on the maps). Consists of 80 maps at a scale of "40 chains to 1 inch," identified by township and range number, each in three formats: topographic, blueprint and hand-colored blue line. The blue line maps document the location of tribal land and identify owners of land and oil rights. There are no hand-colored blue line maps for township 32, ranges 11-12. There are no topographic or blueprint maps for township 37, range 15. The volume also includes an outline blueprint map of the Blackfeet Reservation on the first page, and an outline topographic map of the Blackfeet Reservation affixed to the pastedown, inside the front cover.
