Summary
Photograph album created by a man, probably with the surname of Mitchell, that documents a trip with a female companion to Santa Barbara and Montecito, California, circa 1935. Images of Santa Barbara include views of State Street and East De la Guerra Street, the Biltmore Hotel, the Santa Barbara Mission (with scaffolding on the towers), the First National Bank of Santa Barbara, and the Santa Barbara City Hall, as well as a locomotive and train of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway. Many images depict the formal garden of the Las Tejas estate in Montecito, as well as a bungalow at a hotel.
