From Oct. 1884-Aug. 1885, The Indian missionary was published simultaneously in: Eufaula, edited by W.P. Blake, and McAlester, edited by A.F. Ross. The first issue at Eufaula was Aug. 1884; the first issue at McAlester was Sept. 1884. Although the newspapers shared an identical title, printer, and purpose, their texts were different. After these first issues the paper was issued simultaneously at Eufaula and McAlester through Aug. 1885. Blake resigned from the Eufaula paper. Ross continued as editor (later as manager and publisher) in McAlester, then Tahlequah, South Canadian and Atoka.
