Volumes 1-3 were edited, by Robert Lloyd, who was also a contributor. After Feb. 1764, the editorship was taken over by the playwright William Kenrick. Other contributors included Charles Dennis. Lloyd died in debtor's prison, Dec. 1764.

Volumes 1-<3> include contents lists, with errata at end.

Volumes 1-3 include Lloyd's own poetry and translations, poetry by others, correspondence, and notes. Volume [4] includes more news, less poetry, book announcements and reviews.
