Summary
Collection contains correspondence and other materials. Correspondence consists chiefly of letters to Althusser, dating from 1948 to 1952, from his wife Hélène Rytmann, family members, French intellectuals, and organizations, including Alain Badiou, Xavier de Christen, Paul de Gaudemar, Jean Guitton, Joseph Hours, Jean Lacroix, Lucien Sève, Jean Wahl, and the Parti communiste français. Other materials include a corrected holograph draft of a report to the French Communist Party on the activities of Hélène Rytmann in the French resistance during the Second World War, a notebook and loose manuscript material, financial records, and printed ephemera.
