Notes
Script: copied by one hand in calligraphic Humanistic cursive script. The scribe's knowledge of Latin was defective.
The illustration consists of two maps and numerous profiles of coastal landmarks, all in coloured pen and ink drawings. The profiles are copied from the woodcuts in the printed edition.
Binding: contemporary Dutch parchment binding, gold-tooled. On the flat spine the handwritten inscription in Southern Gothica Textualis: “Carta del navigare del mare Oceano”.

Provenance
This is the only known copy of the partial Latin translation of Waghenaer's Thresoor. According to the inscription on the spine it seems to have been made for an Italian commissioner. Henry C. Taylor Collection, New York, no. 9. Bequest of Henry C. Taylor, 1971.
