Watermarks: unidentifed balance (?) along upper edge, trimmed.
Script: Written in a small gothic bookhand; art. 33 added in a large size gothic bookhand by another scribe.
Plain red initials, 2-line, mark beginning of each poem; opening letter for each stanza washed with yellow. In art. 33 two plain red initials, the second with modest penwork designs also in red; first letter of each sentence stroked with red.
Binding: Nineteenth century (?). Red velvet case with impression of a very large ornament at fore edge of upper board. Perhaps covered with used fabric, since other impressions appear in unusual locations on boards. Off-set of script on fabric stays.
