Rapsodie espagnole was published with the sub-title "Folies d'Espagne et Jota aragonesa"; it includes variations on the trad. melodyLa folia. La romanesca is a trad. Spanish dance melody. Feuille morte is a paraphrase after an aria that "may come from a zarzuela" by Mariano Soriano Fuertes (Notes, p. 3). Rondeau fantastique is a paraphrase after "Yo que soy contrabandista", the 5th number in Manuel Garcia's zarzuela El poeta calculista (Notes, p. 3).
