Summary
October 29, 1765. Fourteen numbered House resolves concerning taxation and the rights of British subjects in the province of Massachusetts Bay, including that the inhabitants of the Province of Massachusetts Bay are "unalienably entitled" to the same essential rights as all men and that no law can divest them of these rights. Also included was the resolve that only this General Assembly might impose taxes on the inhabitants.
