Summary
1809 Communication of the Connecticut General Assembly to the people of the state regarding the Embargo Act of 1807, and attached resolutions and the copy of said act. Of note, the act was a general embargo enacted by the United States Congress against Great Britain and France during the Napoleonic Wars. The communication supported Governor Jonathan Trumbull's opposition to this act and passed resolution to that effect.
